The intended audience for the final project is other students interested in teaching and those already working as teachers. What are the approaches to student writing? Another set of possible projects involves textbooks for composition and rhetoric.
How does the syllabus construct writing instruction? Did they give you enough information or did you already have to know what was expected?
You can use a syllabus from a past class at UWT or a community college course you may have taken. You may also want to interview someone who writes in his or her work- an attorney, a scientist, a scholar in another humanities discipline. Why are they significant? What principles of teaching writing are illustrated in the assignments?

You can interview this person about their writing process and collect a piece of their writing for analysis.
How does it persuade? You may be interested in observing another class, for example, and tracking what writing several students are actually doing.

Did the assignment give explicit or general directions? In other words, this is a formal writing activity in which you demonstrate your ability to critically think and communicate about teaching writing.
